it's true.. little crabs that are really fast and kinda white and have big eyes that are attached to little stems that are attached to their little heads. alexi attempts picking them up and they bite him and draw blood. it's fun to watch the whole game occur time and time again.

Sam. What are these little balls of sand? Are they the crabs?
In any case, it's very decorative.

Sweet picture...
I have watched the sunset while muching a tasty mushroom sandwich while relaxing on Sunrise beach... We could hear the little buggers digging away their holee heavens...
Thanks for the flash back.
Sam are you and Alexi selling Lola Bongo? What are your plans for her? Emily and I are coming to the land of Oz soon and would like to take her on some more travelling adventures. We are only in Japan for 2 more weeks before we head to Cambodia. We will be in Sydney from xmas till Jan 3? Then we'd like to start tripping up the coast to Brissie. Please write Em soon and let her know whats up with Lola. Maybe pass on a number so we can call you about her.
Cheers...

i like the descriptions of these little crabs Sam, now I have made a picture in my mind about them, if you ever get close enough for a photo, I would love to see if it would come close to what I have imagined from your description.
About these little balls of sand all in a circle, it reminds me of the whole the ground hogs make in the country, but their rejected earth on top is all in one big pile instead of these little dainty balls of sands spread out in a circle, I wonder if it is to stop some other creatures from getting into the whole, like a fort type of construction. Some more study when spending time on the beach will eventually come to a conclusion... maybe
